This week we visited and enjoyed Mixer Festival which held place in the Belgrade quarter of Savamala for the first time this year. During the Festival many otherwise unknown or not'visited locations in Savamala were refreshed and open for the public. The most important among them is certainly the building of the Belgrade Cooperative in Karađorđeva street. Belgrade Design Week opening is on Sunday, the 3rd of June at 19 hrs.

Centre for Architecture visited the opening of the exhibition Unfinished Modernisations that took place May 19th in the Museum of Yugoslav History. The exhibition was opened with speeches from authors and directors of the project Vladimir Kulić and Maroje Mrduljaš, the president of the Belgrade Society of Architects Ivan Rašković and the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Serbia Predrag Marković. Last week the fourth International BLOK Conference took place in Belgrade.

Izložba Nedovršene modernizacije: između utopije i pragmatizma se nakon postavke u Mariboru, ovogodišnjoj Evropskoj prestonici kulture, seli u Beograd, u Muzej istorije Jugoslavije u Botićevoj ulici br. 6. Otvaranje je 19. maja u 16h, a izložba će biti otvorena do 1. jula 2012.

Fourth International Conference BLOK 2012 starts this Thursday, May 10th, at the ZIRA Hotel in Belgrade. For the first time,  part of the Conference is a Film Marathon that will take place during the weekend, May 12th and 13th, at the Yugoslav Film Archive. This Film Marathon is dedicated to architectural cinema with an unofficial headline: "Directing life". During the two days the audience will enjoy such cult movies as Metropolis, Alphaville, Blade Runner and 2001: A Space Odyssey, and contemporary blockbusters like 12 Monkeys, Gattaca and Cube.

U četvrtak, 10. maja u 11 sati u prostoru Kafe-kluba iznad knjižare Službenog glasnika, Kneza Miloša 16, održaće se promocija knjige "Antologija Arhitekture i Civilizacije" autora arhitekte Aleksandre Mokranjac.

Dvodnevna Konferencija BLOK, koja će okupiti veliki broj poznatih arhitekata i drugih stručnjaka iz oblasti projektovanja, izgradnje i dizajna održaće se od 10. do 11. maja, u kongresnom centru Zira, u organizaciji kompanije Projmetal.
